The Terry Donahue Memorial California Showcase will be held at the Great Park in Irvine on Saturday, Feb. 11, the day before the Super Bowl.

The free, one-day skills combine is for non-signed, high school seniors and community college sophomores who want an opportunity to show their skills to college football coaches.

Interested players are encouraged to sign up by Wednesday, Feb. 8, so that they can be included in a booklet distributed to coaches and recruiters, although walk-ups are welcome.

Donahue, the winningest football coach in Pac-12 and UCLA history, founded the combine in 2013 with the help of the National Football Foundation and many others. Donahue died in 2021, but his desire to help high school and junior college players continue their playing careers lives on through the annual combine.

Donahue’s younger brother Pat now spearheads the California Showcase.  Assisting Pat Donahue are many of his brother’s former players and assistant coaches.

Athletes who sign up for the event via cashowcase.org will be put through drills conducted by former NFL and college players in the morning. In the afternoon, players will meet with college coaches and recruiters from Division II, III and NAIA schools from across the country. Local community colleges are also represented.

This will the 10th California Showcase, and the event organizers estimate it has helped players receive nearly $40 million in scholarships and financial aid.
