DAILY NEWS GIRLS ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Name: Emma Schaaf

School: Trinity Classical Academy

Sport: Basketball

Year: Junior

Noteworthy: Schaaf was pivotal in the Knights’ two playoff games last week when she notched 23 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in a 68-39 CIF Southern Section Division 3A opening round victory over Temple City Thursday. The junior forward then tallied 29 points and 15 rebounds in a 50-44 second-round win over Torrance on Saturday.

Trinity Classical Academy will play at Campbell Hall in the quarterfinals on Wednesday night.
