Angel City Football Club’s Alyssa Thompson has received her first U.S. national team call-up as a professional.

Thompson, who was the No. 1 overall pick in last month’s NWSL draft by ACFC, will join the U.S. U-23 national team for a training camp in Paris, starting Sunday.

The team will train until Feb. 21 and play two games against France’s U-23 team. The camp comes during a FIFA International window.

Thompson recently kicked off her first training camp with Angel City. She made her senior national team debut in two friendlies last year against England and Spain.

“Everyone expects you to be your best at all times,” she said last week. “As we’re talking as a team, we want to be relentless and ambitious.

“We want to have honor while we play, and everyone is holding you to the highest standard in practice and anything you do, even in recovery and nutrition.”

The 18-year-old Harvard-Westlake High student is one of seven players on the U-23 roster that competed on the U.S. FIFA U-20 World Cup team.

“She’s shown herself to be an incredible player at the youth level and has performed well for the national team at the youth level as well,” Angel City coach Freya Coombe said. “We’re going to support her coming into the pro and senior environment, helping her grow and develop.

“She is incredible on 1-on-1, looking to beat opponents, and she is technical. We are looking to just increase that and provide an environment where she can get better in those areas and will be a fantastic addition to the team.

Here is the the U-23 national team roster:

Goalkeepers (2): Hensley Hancuff (Brisbane Roar; Edmond, Okla.), Lauren Kozal (Portland Thorns FC; Ada, Mich.)

Defenders (6): Megan Bornkamp (Clemson; Mooresville, N.C.), Lauren Flynn (Florida State; Arlington, Va.), Eva Gaetino (Notre Dame; Dexter, Mich.), Lilly Reale (UCLA; Hingham, Mass.), Laney Rouse (Virginia; Cary, N.C.), Kate Wiesner (Penn State; Monrovia, Calif.)

Midfielders (6): Korbin Albert…
