In today’s forecast, temperatures remain similar to Wednesday but with cooler temperatures along the coast as another storm makes its way to the Southland this weekend.

Along the coast dense fog has moved in from L.A county beaches down to Orange County making for a cool and foggy morning. The fog should move out of the area by 9 a.m.
Meanwhile, daytime highs for the coast will be cooler, averaging at 67 degrees. Daytime highs for the inland coast will stay in the mid to upper 70s, up to 78 degrees in Irvine.
The valleys and Inland Empire will still experience warm temperatures similar to yesterday, with highs in the upper 80s.
In the deserts, Apple and Lucerne Valleys will see highs in the low 80s, up to 97 degrees for Coachella Valley.
About that upcoming storm
More rain and mountain snow will make its way back to the southland this weekend.
Right now forecasters say the rain might start as early as Friday night but the main event will be on Saturday. We could see between a quarter inch to an inch of rainfall for most areas, and closer to two inches in the mountains and foothills.
As for snow, forecasters say a couple of inches is expected at higher elevations above 6-thousand feet for Saturday, but come Sunday night those snow levels could drop and affect the Grapevine portion of the I-5 corridor.
