Nixon’s story: Nixon was found in an abandoned house with other dogs, all of them fending for themselves. He so dearly wants his own family. Although he takes awhile to trust people he hasn’t met before, once he warms up he is the best – sweet, full of kisses and very curious. Nixon is very food-motivated, making him easy to train, especially since he’s not at all picky about what kind of treats he gets. His lack of trust extends to new places, although he is learning that they aren’t bad places. He much prefers being carried to walking on a leash, but he’s learning how that works, too. He should not be in a home with a lot of fast movement, so young children or very busy homes would not suit him.
Adoption fee: $250
