Popular New York City burger chain Shake Shack will make its Orange County debut in Irvine Spectrum Center this summer, according to a press release.
The restaurant will be near the Regal Irvine Spectrum movie theater complex, it said.
In addition to burgers, Shake Shack specializes in shakes, frozen custard and lemonade.
It opened its first Southern California restaurant in West Hollywood in 2016 and now has several restaurants in Los Angeles County, the nearest one in Long Beach.
Shake Shack also plans to open restaurants in Costa Mesa and Huntington Beach, according to chief development Andrew McCaughan, quoted in the news release.
