Los Alamitos got another football transfer, this one a much-touted junior tight end from Texas
Davon Mitchell (6-4, 230) is now enrolled at Los Alamitos, football coach Ray Fenton confirmed Monday.
Mitchell recently added “Los Alamitos” to his Twitter bio.
247sports.com ranks Mitchell as the No. 1 tight end in the nation for the class of 2025.
Mitchell was at Allen High in Allen, Texas, this past season. He had 33 receptions for 731 yards and nine touchdowns.
He has scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State and USC, plus many others.
Los Alamitos has been the destination for a few transfers in recent days. Defensive back Isaiah Rubin transferred to Los Alamitos from Desert Pines in Nevada. He has offers from several schools, including Michigan, Oregon and USC.
All-Orange County running back Kobe Boykin and corner Jett White transferred from Orange to Los Alamitos.
