Disneyland annual passholders want to know how to get their piece of the $9.5 million payout now that the Anaheim theme park has agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement over “deceptive” Magic Key blockout dates.
Disney has agreed to settle a federal lawsuit filed in California alleging that annual passholders who purchased the $1,399 Dream Key in 2021 were unable to make theme park reservations at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure despite the promise of “no blockout dates.”

“We are satisfied that this matter has been resolved,” Disneyland officials said in a statement.
Each of the 103,435 Dream Keyholders will get $67.41 as a result of the class action suit filed by Disneyland Magic Key annual passholder Jenale Nielsen of Santa Clara County.
How will annual passholders get paid?
The $67.41 — which works out to about 5% of the total cost of the Dream Key — will be sent by email or snail mail.

What do passholders need to do to get their money?
Nothing. Dream Key passholders will be automatically enrolled in the disbursement fund and do not need to submit a claim to get paid.
Unless you don’t want the money or plan to file your own lawsuit. Then you need to request to be excluded from the settlement.
If you were a Dream Keyholder, expect to receive an email from a third-party settlement administrator with instructions on how to get paid electronically.
The email will come to the address you have on file with your Disneyland annual pass account. A check will be sent by snail mail if the email bounces back or you don’t have an email on file.
