A head-on traffic collision in Santa Ana left six people hospitalized, including one in critical condition on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

Firefighters responded to a two-car collision at 12:31 p.m. on South Bristol Street and West Edinger Avenue. Firefighter paramedics used the “Jaws of Life”  rescue tool to remove one victim from their car and provided initial treatment to victims on-scene.

Five adults and one child were hospitalized, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

The cause of the crash was being investigated by Santa Ana police.
