A 26-year-old driver was arrested on Thanksgiving Day after police in Orange said while intoxicated he plowed his truck into another truck that was parked, killing two men inside.
Police said the suspect, Humberto Lopez Flores of Orange, fled on foot after the crash, at about 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 23, in the 700 block of North Shattuck Place.
But officers patrolling the area found him and arrested him near Lincoln Street and Oakmont Avenue a short time later.
Police said he was headed south on Shattuck when his Ford F-250 smashed into the parked Chevy Silverado. They said he was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
The victims of the crash were identified as Jose Huerta, 51, of Orange and Manuel Ortiz, 59, of Santa Ana.
