In today’s forecast, a weekend cooling trend is expected to begin as another storm moves into Southern California this evening and Saturday morning. The coldest day this weekend will likely be Sunday.
Rain is forecasted to make ground Saturday morning and likely to last through Sunday. Snow is also expected to blanket the mountains at higher elevations.
A warming trend will arrive Monday, bringing dry weather for next week.
A foggy marine layer made its way inland this morning extending into Chino and some other parts of the Inland Empire, signaling the arrival of cooler weather for the weekend. Mountains and deserts will experience the most sun today, with inland desert areas reaching into the 90s in the daytime and the mid-50s in the evening.
Although the cooling trend begins today, it will be a mostly warm day with some low cloud cover lingering along the coast. The clouds should clear up inland by the afternoon.
The beaches will reach highs in the 70s, and a low of about 52 degrees. In the mountains the highs will be in the mid-60s yielding to low-50s in the evening. Inland will be warm with highs sitting comfortably in the mid-70s before the stormfront brings temps down to the low-50s.
