Lamborghini driver suspected in DUI crash in Anaheim that kills 1

A 25-year-old man suspected of driving a Lamborghini under the influence was arrested after getting into a rollover crash late last week near the 91 Freeway in Anaheim that flung the passenger from the vehicle, police said.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, Shivam Patel was driving along Santa Ana Canyon Road, east of Lakeview Avenue, when he lost control, Anaheim Sgt. Jon McClintock said.

The passenger, a man in his forties, was thrown from the wreck and pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not available on Monday.

Patel, a Yorba Linda resident, was taken to a hospital for minor injuries and arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter, McClintock said.
