Anaheim police fatally shot a suspect near an Arco gas station in Anaheim on Tuesday, though the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear.
The shooting happened around 1:15 p.m. in the parking lot of an AMPM convenience store on Orangewood Avenue and Harbor Boulevard. Officers were conducting a follow-up investigation in the area when they encountered the person and the shooting occurred, Anaheim Police Sgt. Matt Sutter told freelance news videographer OnScene TV.
No further details, including if the suspect had a weapon, were immediately available.
Areas west and southbound of Harbor Boulevard from Orangewood Avenue will remain closed for several hours during the investigation, Sutter said.
This is a developing story. More information will be added when it becomes available.
