On this weekend, the beautiful blue water stretching to the horizon is not the showstopper in Huntington Beach. On this weekend, all eyes will be on the sky as daredevils wing their way past tens of thousands of spectators for the Pacific Airshow.
From military jets to vintage airplanes, pilots did a dress rehearsal on Friday for the crowds below. The show continues Saturday and Sunday – the lineup is expected to be the same both days.
But on Friday there was a brief deviation as former President Donald Trump’s Boeing 757 made a pass, and circled for a second one, on his way to a planned appearance at the California GOP Convention in Anaheim.
The airshow performances will start each day at 10:30 a.m. and fly until 4:30 p.m. General admission access is available for $25 online or $30 for walkups and includes the beach south of the pier to Beach Boulevard. Information: pacificairshow.com
