Humphreys’ story: Humphreys is an active boy who would make the best walking, running or hiking buddy. The only thing he loves more than running around in a yard is the pool. Humphreys is definitely a water dog and loves splashing in the pool as often as he can … and he’d like to follow that with belly rubs, please. Humphreys has been at the shelter for more than a year, and throughout his stay, he has transformed into a true gentleman. He’s just not aware of his own strength, so will need to be taught leash manners. Humphreys loves having the attention to himself and is looking for a home where he will be the only pet.
Adoption fee: Throughout September, those who adopt a dog weighing 25 pounds or more will pay no adoption fee, so they will get free neutering, vaccinations, microchip and an anti-parasite treatment. Free adoption does not cover license fee or puppies 6 months or younger.
Adoption procedure: Call OC Animal Care at 714-935-6848 to schedule a visit with Humphreys or another dog, which can be reviewed online at ocpetinfo.com. You also can walk in to the shelter and meet dogs on a first-come, first-served basis. The shelter is at 1630 Victory Road, Tustin.
