THE GAME: Dodgers pitchers gave up three home runs in an 8-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Monday afternoon at Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Arizona.

HITTING REPORT: Eddie Rosario drove in the Dodgers’ only run with a two-out RBI single in the third inning. … David Bote was 1 for 3 with a double and has started the spring 6 for 8. … Minor-league infielder Sean McLain was 1 for 3 with a double. He got the start against the Reds and his older brother, Matt, who is Cincinnati’s second baseman.

PITCHING REPORT: Tyler Glasnow made his first start of the spring (and saw his first game action since Aug. 11). He struck out the first two batters he faced but gave up a run on two singles and a double before getting out of the inning. … Dodgers relievers Blake Treinen, Tanner Scott, Kirby Yates and Alex Vesia all made their first appearances of the spring on Monday, pitching an inning each. Yates and Vesia retired the side in order in their innings. Scott and Treinen each gave up a two-run home run to Austin Hays.

INJURY UPDATE: Padres pitcher Cole Paplham suffered facial fractures when he was hit in the side of the face by a line drive during Sunday’s game against the Dodgers. Paplham was released from the hospital Sunday night and is in concussion protocol in Padres camp, awaiting further evaluation.
