Chaminade boys wrestling placed sixth and Royal placed 12th at the CIF Southern Section Masters Meet that was held Friday and Saturday at Palm Springs High School.
The Eagles scored 104.5 points and Royal had 71 points in the final team standings for the tournament, which served as the qualifier for the CIF State tournament. The top five boys and girls finishers in each weight class of the Blue and Gold divisions move on to the state meet.
The CIF State Championships will be held this week, Thursday through Saturday, at Mechanics Bank Arena in Bakersfield.
