LA Pride Parade: The parade includes floats, exotic cars, marching groups and performers, 11 a.m. June 11. The parade has three grand marshals: entertainer Margaret Cho (Icon grand marshal); Emmy Award winner, the late entertainer Leslie Jordan (Legacy grand marshal); ACLU of Southern California (Community grand marshal); details on the grand marshals: bit.ly/3OMqjts.
Parade route: Begins at Sunset Boulevard at Highland Avenue; north on Highland to Hollywood Boulevard; east on Hollywood to Cahuenga Boulevard; south on Cahuenga to end at Sunset, Hollywood (map: bit.ly/45Hvxwy). The parade will be braodcast live on KABC/ABC7 with co-hosts Christiane Cordero and Ellen Leyva. Take the Metro B (Red) line and exit at Hollywood/Highland or Hollywood/Vine stations. lapride.org
LA Pride Village: The second annual street festival includes two performance stages, space for dancing, local vendor and non-profit booth area and food trucks, noon-8 p.m. June 11. Also, a beer garden will be on-site (for ages 21 and older). Free admission. The festival is presented by LA Pride and the Hollywood Partnership. Cars We Love to Drive Car Show: Attend and/or register your classic car for the show, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. June 17. Event includes children’s activities, music and food trucks. A “People’s Choice – Best in Show” trophy will be awarded to the car with the highest number of attendee votes and other trophies will be awarded in other categories.
