A castle-inspired mansion in Covina with a miniature water park in the backyard has come on the market for $4.6 million.
Spanning 7,238 square feet across two stories, the whimsical home has five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. That includes a bathroom in the deluxe primary suite with a jetted tub, rock shower, fireplace and painted blue sky with fluffy white clouds on the ceiling.
Marketing materials are spare on details, but the MLS images reveal a domino-patterned foyer, a second-story walkway overlooking the living room, and a formal dining room with a decorative ceiling.
The gourmet kitchen boasts granite countertops, a center island and a breakfast nook.
Completed in 2009, the house sits on 4.32 acres with horse riding facilities and a barn for 10 horses, in addition to what the listing calls a “Disneyland-style pool and spa.”
Records show the seller bought the property in October 2018 for $4.2 million. But it was the previous owner who envisioned the castle-like abode with its stone siding and turrets, the San Gabriel Valley reported in December 2017.
They put in the barn and horse riding area, expanded the garage to fit 11 vehicles, and reimagined the pool area.
The pool holds a lazy river, islands, bridges, a waterfall and a water slide. Adjacent to it is the pool house with a full outdoor kitchen and bar.
Ponds for koi and slider turtles, a wishing well, drip-irrigated gardens with roses and fruit and shade trees add to the well-manicured grounds crossed by walking paths.
RV parking rounds out the offerings.
Jenny Xu of Re/Max Masters Realty has the listing.
