Community meetings bring people together for exchange of ideas and memorable shared experiences. Here’s a sampling of meetings, charity/volunteer opportunities and farmers markets in the San Fernando Valley area.

Date with Death Club: The Rev. Matthew McHale, from Emerson Unitarian Universalist Church in Canoga Park, facilitates an exploration on mortality — fears, ideas and curiosities about death. This third out of a six part series is on “Owning Your Dying,” 3-5 p.m. This is not a bereavement group.
