Sure, many a fine Irish pub will break out their most festive shamrock decor, serve savory plates of corned beef and cabbage, and pour enough beer and rye to fill the Honda Center. But should you yearn for a mellower St. Patrick’s Day affair, head to one of these spots offering holiday fare minus the throngs of tipsy crowds and sticky barroom floors. From a St. Patrick’s-themed murder mystery to green-hued xiao long bao, there’s something for everyone. Events are Sunday, March 17 unless otherwise noted.

Each course, fittingly, features shades of green. Cost is $45 per guest. 122 N. Glassell St., Orange
