A security guard fired shots at three armed suspects during an attempted robbery Wednesday at a jewelry store in Fullerton.
Three masked individuals, possibly armed with handguns, exited a dark-colored sedan that had stopped in front of the jewelry store, located on the 1500 block of South Harbor Boulevard. A uniformed security guard employed by the store fired at the suspects as they approached, causing them to flee the scene, a preliminary investigation revealed.
Police responded to the scene around 12:08 p.m. and searched the area for possible suspects.
At this time, no suspects are in custody and it is unknown if any of the suspects were struck by the gunfire, Sgt. Ryan O’Neil said.
No other injuries were reported.
