For a few hours at Disneyland this weekend, the point was to speed past Mickey and Minnie and all the other characters and to hoof it as fast as possible past the rides and the experiences.
On Sunday, runners dashed through the resort’s theme parks and along the nearby Anaheim streets in the first Disneyland half marathon to be held since 2017.
The very popular Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend was canceled starting in 2018 because of the construction of the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge and then the coronavirus pandemic.
There were also 10K, 5K and kids races and even a session of morning yoga, all part of the return of the runDisney event, which was held over four days, culminating Sunday with the half marathon.
