A manufacturer of military and commercial optical systems has signed a lease in Irvine for its new headquarters.
Maztech Industries, with offices on Peter Canyon Road in the city, will occupy the 17,500-square-foot facility at 1641 Reynolds Ave.
Terms of the lease were not disclosed by JLL, which represented Maztech. The landlord, The Donald Spencer DeVries Trust, was represented by John B. Collins of Lee & Associates.
The company chose the new location because it comes equipped with modern features, a recent renovation and key location, according to Xavier Nolasco, a vice president at JLL.
Maztech makes things like night vision instruments, wireless communication tools, laser ranging devices and other sportsman accessories.
The company makes optical enhancements for rifles, notably its X4 System created with Magpul, a firearms accessory manufacturer.
An NRA article on the optical system says the technology provides “complete situational awareness to a user while they’re mounted on the gun and viewing the field through their optic.”
