Fresh off of its headlining set at the 2023 Cali Vibes Music Festival in Long Beach on Friday, Feb. 17, Isla Vista-based reggae rock band Rebelution announced that it will headline three evenings at the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, Aug. 11-13 during the annual OC Fair.
The band, which has previously sold out two-night stints at the venue, will have support from Iration, The Expendables, Passafire and DJ Mackle. Tickets are $30-$70 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 at Ticketmaster.com.
Over inside The Hangar, Damage Inc., Southern California’s tribute to Metallica, will perform on July 28 ($20-$25); Start Making Sense, a Talking Heads Tribute, will take the stage July 29 ($20-$25); and due to popular demand a second evening of Queen tribute act Queen Nation has been booked on Aug. 3 ($22.50-$27.50). All tickets go ON sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at Ticketmaster.com.
The annual OC Brew Hee Haw, which kicks off the OC Fair over inside the Action Sports Arena with tasting sessions and live music July 14-15, just announced its entertainment roster as well. The tasting event at 7 p.m. July 14 (6 p.m. for VIP ticketholders) will feature Saved By The ’90s; the 1:30 p.m. session on July 15 (12:30 p.m. for VIP ticketholders) will include a performance by Redneck Rodeo; and the 7:30 p.m. session on July 15 (6:30 p.m. for VIP ticketholders) will be led by ’80s tribute band The Flashbax. Tickets are $40-$45 general admission and $50-$55 VIP at Ticketmaster.com.
Tickets for all of the shows happening during the run of the OC Fair, July 14-Aug. 13, include same-day fair admission.
