The OC Fair has added a pair of shows to its 2023 Toyota Summer Concert Series, which takes place during the run of the fair, happening July 14-Aug. 13 in Costa Mesa, with a few pre- and post-fair concerts taking place as well.
Producers announced that rock band 3 Doors Down will bring its “Away From The Sun” 20th anniversary tour to Pacific Amphitheatre on Saturday, July 15. The band will play the album, which includes the hits “Here Without You” and “When I’m Gone,” in its entirety, plus additional radio singles and fan-favorites. The band will be joined by Candlebox, which is best known for the songs “Far Behind” and “You.” The opening band is out on its last U.S. tour to promote its 30th anniversary and final farewell studio album, which will be released later this year. Tickets are $38.50-$78.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 24 at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets include same-day OC Fair admission.
Veteran rockers Cheap Trick (“I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” “Dream Police”) will play with The Tubes (“She’s a Beauty,” “Tip of My Tongue,” “Talk to You Later”) on Monday, Aug. 7. Tickets are $30-$65 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 24 at Ticketmaster.com. The OC Fair is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so this show does not include OC Fair admission.
