Here’s a peek at how much rain has fallen in Orange County as what was once Hurricane Hilary stormed through the region.
The map reflects rainfall stats collected by OC Public Works at 58 sites countywide for the 48 hours that ended Monday, Aug. 21, at 8 a.m. The median rainfall of the measurements was 2.28 inches.
The rainiest spots were found in the South County’s foothills:
- Upper Harding Canyon at 4.65 inches.
- Santiago Peak Standpipe at 4.49 inches.
- Upper Silverado Canyon at 4.17 inches.
- Loma Ridge at 3.62 inches.
- Holy Jim Canyon at 3.43 inches.
- Santiago Creek at E08 at 3.35 inches.
- Coto De Caza at 3.15 inches.
- El Cariso Guard Station at 3.15 inches.
