The shops. The escalators. The fountains. While malls aren’t as popular as they were in their halcyon 1980s era – roughly 10 years from now, there will be approximately 150 malls left in the United States, according to Nick Egelanian, president of retail consulting firm SiteWorks – there still remains so much to love about our country’s ode to unabashed consumerism.
