Democratic State Sen. Dave Min and former Republican Assemblymember Scott Baugh will advance to the general election for California’s 47th congressional district race, the Associated Press has called.

With Rep. They want to feel safe in their homes and in their communities.”
Min, in his own statement Wednesday, said, “This victory is not just about winning an election, it is about the future we are collectively shaping. It’s about reclaiming the House for Democrats and Orange County families. It’s about rejecting the divisive, Trump-supporting MAGA politics that our opponent, Scott Baugh, represents. It’s about ensuring that our voices are heard loud and clear in Washington.”
The battle to replace Porter, a Democrat, attracted eight other candidates, among them Joanna Weiss, attorney and founder of the Women for American Values and Ethics, a progressive nonprofit focused on public education and gun safety. She conceded to Min on Wednesday.
