Insomniac Events founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella recently shared plans for the 30th anniversary of his electronic music promotions company, which officially launched in October 1993 in Los Angeles.
Through the past three decades, Insomniac has become one of the leading voices in the electronic music space and with this year providing a monumental milestone for the brand, Rotella was feeling a bit nostalgic about having produced more than 40 festivals, 200 concerts and throwing events in more than 1,500 night clubs. He posted a video on the company’s official Instagram last week, ahead of Beyond Wonderland in San Bernardino on March 24, that gave career highlights.
“Through the years, I had ideas of what could be possible, but never could have imagined what has become a reality today for Insomniac and the culture I love so much,” Rotella shared in the caption of his video. “Everyone on this planet needs something to believe in. Our principles of peace, love, unity, and respect are the foundations our house is built on and why our scene is still growing. We’ve had 30 years together and I’m so excited for what the next 30 years hold. It really feels like we’re just getting started. This is all because of you.”
At Beyond Wonderland, Insomniac debuted Anniversary Lane, an immersive walk-thru activation that takes fans through two 80-foot long video walls that show scenes from various Insomniac events through the years including EDC, Escape Halloween, Nocturnal Wonderland, Countdown and more.
Anniversary Lane will be at upcoming Insomniac festival events as well, including EDC Las Vegas and Orlando, Hard Summer, Escape Halloween and more. The experience includes fan videos, voice overs and echoes the message that “all are welcome here” in the rave…
