Happy Taylor Day!
That’s right, Thursday, Aug. 3 marks the kickoff of Taylor Swift’s record-setting stint at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood — er, Taylorwood.
She’s got six sold-out shows on Aug. 3-5 and 7-9 and it’s going to be absolutely wild. But, if you’re a lucky Swiftie that scored tickets to one of these evenings, reporter Peter Larsen has compiled everything you need to know before you go. Get the full rundown here.
Of course, we’re going to have lots of coverage of Swift’s shows, which you can follow over at dailybreeze.com.
Here’s what’s happening in the world of Southern California music festivals this week.
🌤️ Head in the Clouds
Hopefully, the weather cools down a bit so fans can enjoy the two-day Head in the Clouds Festival over at Brookside at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Aug. 5-6.
The event, a partnership between Goldenvoice and 88 Rising, will feature Asian pop, rock, rap and electronic musicians from around the world including Jackson Wang, Niki and Rich Brian. Reporter Peter Larsen spoke with 21-year-old Indonesian rapper Warren Hue, who is returning to the show for the third time, about the Head in the Clouds experience.
On top of a diverse music lineup, the festival is welcoming back the popular 626 Night Market, which will curate the food booths and highlight some of the best independent Asian Cuisine in Southern California. Participating eateries include All Dat Dumpling, Ghostix, Shake Ramen, Supreme Musubi, Tao’s Bao, Bopomofo Cafe, The Drunken Dumpling and more. There will also be a full Boba Village with vendors like Bobaful, Milk + Tea, Factory Tea Bear and others.
