Cali Vibes is back! The three-day reggae, rock and hip-hop festival is taking over Marina Green Park starting at noon on Friday in Long Beach. Last week, we shared Richard Guzman’s preview of the fest and his interview with Nick Hexum of 311 (which go on at 5:20 p.m. Friday on The Vibes stage).
This week, we have Alan Sculley’s interview with Cali Vibes performer Jack Johnson, who is scheduled to play a special late-night set starting at 8:25 p.m. on The Vibes stage on Sunday. Read the full interview with Johnson here.
The Cali Vibes venue is pretty picturesque and Richard will be there Friday to report on the scene and I’ll be there too, checking out 311, Collie Buddz and Ozomatli with Jurassic 5’s Chali 2na & Cut Chemist. So if you’re on site, come hang with us!

🎷 Massive Tour Announcements
Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band announced that they’re extending the 2023 tour and that includes two evenings at Kia Forum in Inglewood in December. It has been seven years since Springsteen helped close down the LA Sports Arena (now home of BMO Stadium) with a trio of sold out shows that lasted about 3.5 hours each. Find out how to get tickets to the newly announced dates in Inglewood here.
BTS’ Suga will play three evenings at the Kia Forum in May. This is a huge deal because he’s the first member of the superstar K-pop group to announce a solo run since the band went on hiatus as other members began their mandatory military service in South Korea. Find out how to register for tickets to the trio of shows here.
