The Dana Point community spent the weekend celebrating the massive animals that have helped put the city on the map.
The three-day Festival of Whales featured the always popular Magical Migration Parade on Saturday and on Sunday kids hunted for treasure at Baby Beach before an afternoon of bands and a barbecue started.
There were beach cleanups, lectures on marine mammals, art displays and a classic car show.
Also throughout the weekend, guests boarded the whale-watching charter boats that call the Dana Point Harbor home and embarked on ocean excursions to spot the whales that migrate past each year.
