Today will be the final publication of the OC coronavirus tracker as the California COVID-19 State of Emergency will end Tuesday.
The OC Health Care Agency reported 1,380 more reported cases of the coronavirus from Feb. 16 to Feb. 23, increasing the cumulative total since tracking began in the county to 711,257 cases reported.
There were 2,806 new cases reported in the last two-week period. The county is averaging at least 5.8 new cases a day per every 100,000 residents.
There were 182 people reported in Orange County hospitals with coronavirus on Thursday, including 28 who needed to be in an intensive care unit.
The county also reported 28 additional deaths as of Thursday, bringing the count of Orange County residents who have died from the virus to 7,936.
Data posted each day is preliminary and subject to change, officials emphasize. More information may become available as individual case investigations are completed. The Orange County Health Care Agency dashboard can be found here.
