The California Highway Patrol is seeking the public’s help in an investigation into an alleged road rage shooting on the 405 Freeway at rush hour that left one person injured.
On Tuesday, March 31 around 5 p.m., CHP officers responded to a shooting on the northbound 405 at the Euclid Street exit. According to authorities, someone in a car shot at another sedan in an apparent act of road rage, and the shooter’s car drove off.
One person was treated at a hospital, but it’s not clear how severe their injuries were.
The CHP did not say what led to the crime, saying only that the shooter’s vehicle was believed to have been involved in a “road rage” situation with a white 2015 Hyundai Sonata.
The shooter’s car was described only as a black early 2000s model sedan. The CHP believes it was occupied by a male driver and a male passenger.
CHP Westminster is handling the investigation. Anyone with information is urged to call the office during business hours at 714-622-3600.
