Bolsa Grande named Fentriss Winn, an alumnus of the school and the former Saddleback College women’s basketball coach, as the new head coach for its boys basketball team.
Winn played basketball and football at Bolsa Grande in the late 1970s and also was a track and field athlete.
He coached Saddleback College’s women’s basketball team for 17 seasons. Winn also was the boys and girls basketball coach at The Bishop’s School in La Jolla and his teams won CIF San Diego Section championships.
This past season Bolsa Grande finished 10-16 overall and was fourth in the Garden Grove League with a 5-5 record.
