The Presbyterian Women’s group at Canyon Hills Presbyterian Church recently launched its annual “Knock Your Socks Off” campaign.
Donations of new socks and underwear for adults and kids are currently being collected through the end of January.
These items will be distributed to the Shower Plus Ministry at First Presbyterian Church of Garden Grove, which offers hot showers, breakfast and clothing to those experiencing homelessness. Socks and underwear for kids will also be distributed to Melrose Elementary for students in need.
Anyone in the community who would like to donate socks and/or underwear to these outreach ministry causes, can drop them off at the designated table on the patio area in front of the Sanctuary during Sunday worship services between 10 and 11 a.m.
For additional information or to arrange a donation drop off at the church office, call 714-637-7660 or visit canyonhillspc.org. The church is on Fairmont Boulevard and Santa Ana Canyon Road.
