Happy Fourth of July Anaheim!
The annual Independence Day parade kicks off at 1 p.m. today at Canyon Hills High.
Starting the day’s festivities is the 5K/10K Firecracker Run at 7 a.m. at the high school and at 9 a.m. watch the Yankee Doodle Dog Show.
Then follow the parade over to Peralta Park for the community festival with food booths opening at 3 p.m. and entertainment at 5 p.m.
The fireworks show will be at 9 p.m.

Stone showroom plans art event
An inaugural Stone Gala of the Arts is planned for July 20 and 21, showcasing the talent of local painters and artists at Marble Unlimited on South Anaheim Way.
Expect an eclectic mix of local talents and renowned artists and a special concert featuring Acute Inflections at 8 p.m. on July 20 (tickets sold separately). The event kicks off at 1 p.m. on July 20, and there will be a gala on July 21 form 10 to 4 p.m.
