More than three dozen new food and drink items at Disney’s Lunar New Year event are vying to join the pantheon of fan favorites that make the menu every year at the annual food festival that has become a great way to try new flavors and savor old standbys.
Disney’s 2024 Lunar New Year event celebrating Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures and traditions kicked off Tuesday, Jan. 23 and runs through Feb. 18 at Disney California Adventure.
The festival is great for foodies who love to sample and share while grazing from one booth to the next on an epicurean adventure.

Sip and Savor passes for the Lunar New Year event allow visitors to purchase a prepaid card with multiple tabs good for individual items at food and beverage stands throughout the festival.
Here are eight returning favorites at this year’s Lunar New Year food festival that fans won’t let Disney chefs take off the menu.
1) Mickey-shaped Hot Dog Bun: Brioche-style Mickey-shaped bun stuffed with hot dog and finished with sesame seeds and scallions
2) Mickey Mouse-shaped Macaron: This year’s iteration features a strawberry milk tea flavor
3) Mandarin Orange Mousse Cake: Layers of mandarin mousse with vanilla cake and clementine compote finished with white chocolate crunch balls and a tangerine glaze
4) Whole Fish: Served with steamed rice and stir-fried vegetables with black vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, garlic and red Fresno chile
5) Pork Banh Mi Sandwich: Grilled pork belly with pickled carrots and daikon, cucumber and jalapeño with spicy mayo
6) Quesabirria Eggroll: Served with guajillo pepper consomme
7) Garlic Noodles: Long noodles tossed in zesty garlic butter with parmesan
8) Raspberry Oat Milk Tea: Ceylon tea, raspberry and demerara syrups and oat milk garnished with skewered raspberries
