LA CRESTA — Two more of three suspects were in custody in connection with the shooting death of a 35-year-old man in La Cresta, a community west of Murrieta, authorities said Sunday.
They were identified as 37-year-old Enrique Rojas of Murrieta and 23-year-old Richard Smith of Hemet, according to Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Ben Ramirez.
The arrests occurred Friday, Ramirez said. Rojas was arrested about 4:20 a.m. in front of his home and Smith was arrested about 1:20 p.m. during a traffic stop in Hemet. Both were booked on suspicion of murder.
On Feb. 26, at about 6:20 p.m., Andrew Cisneros was found suffering from gunshot wounds at a residence in the 38000 block of Via Majorca in La Cresta, Ramirez said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Jose Daniel Aguilar, 29, of Orange was arrested on suspicion of murder and other counts March 5 during a traffic stop in Moreno Valley, he said.
Authorities have said Cisneros was shot following a break-in, burglary and confrontation at his residence.
