Tickets are now on sale for the 10th Annual State of the Port of Los Angeles speech on Jan. 23.

The industry event, with a lunch that is usually sold out, will feature Port of LA Executive Director Gene Seroka, who will provide supply chain updates and outline the port’s priorities and plans for 2025. Tickets are available at humanitix.com.

Sponsored by the port and the Pacific Merchant Shipping Association, the event will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Los Angeles Cruise Terminal, 100 Swinford St., Berth 93, in San Pedro.

General admission is $130 and there are also sponsorship/group tables available.

While the port continues experiencing record-breaking cargo surges, 2025 could bring new challenges, including the impacts of possible tariffs under the new Trump administration. Work also continues to create the port’s new waterfront attraction, West Harbor, and efforts are moving forward to find ideas for an additional passenger cruise terminal at the Outer Harbor and for how to reuse Warehouse One.

“The State of the Port has grown into a must-attend gathering, offering both valuable insights and unparalleled networking opportunities for Southern California’s maritime professionals,” said PMSA President Mike Jacob. “It’s also a chance to give back, as proceeds benefit two outstanding nonprofits that make a real difference in our community.”

Sponsorships for the event are still available, with all proceeds going to support two local nonprofits, EXP and the International Seafarers Center of Los Angeles/Long Beach.

EXP provides education programs to thousands of local area high school students every year. The International Seafarers Center of Long Beach and Los Angeles offers a range of services to seafarers arriving daily at the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Since the first State of the Port of Los Angeles event in 2016, PMSA has raised more than $270,000 in donations benefitting these two nonprofits.

Sponsors of this year’s event…
