Los Angeles punk rock band NOFX announced last year that it was officially calling it quits.
While the group has been out headlining its Punk in Drublic music festival tour this year, it also added dates to the NOFX Final Tour: 40 Years 40 Cities 40 Songs Per Day outing.
The shows wrap up near NOFX’s homebase at San Pedro’s Berth 46 on Oct. 4-6, 2024.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 20 at punkindrublicfest.com.
NOFX’s final tour began on April 22 in Austin, Texas and includes shows throughout North America and Australia. The band has been playing 40 songs per night, including full albums and rarities and they’re not repeating setlists to ensure each evening is special.
Frontman and bassist Fat Mike, guitarists Eric Melvin and El Hefe and drummer “Smelly” Eric Sandin formed NOFX in 1983.
“We’ve played over 2,000 shows in 33 countries, in more than 300 cities and darn it … we’re a bit tired,” Fat Mike said via a press release. “One thing I know in my heart … this is going to be the most emotional, heartbreaking, greatest tour of our career. I’ve never been so excited and at the same time terrified. Mostly excited.”
NOFX has partnered with Cameron Collins of Brew Ha Ha Productions and the Punk in Drublic Craft Beer & Music Festival to curate and produce the final tour events. Most dates feature craft beer and craft beverage tastings for those 21-and-older from noon-3 p.m.
“Working with NOFX as their U.S. promoter for these many years has been the highlight of my professional career,” Collins said in a press release. “The friendships between BHHP and NOFX crew that that have developed over the years will continue long after these shows have gone and the last chords are played. The final year of NOFX will be one of joy, celebration and tears. I can’t wait to make some final memories with NOFX and send them off into whatever is next for each of these talented and exceptional dudes.”
