Orange County-based Activated Events announced the return of its Coastal Country Jam, a beachside music festival that has found a new home in Long Beach.
Held at Huntington State Beach since its inception in the summer of 2016, the newly expanded two-day event will take place on Sep. 16-17 at a yet-to-be-disclosed location in Long Beach.
The producers, who also run the Boots in the Park fests in San Diego, Norco and Santa Clarita, announced the return of the festival on its social media pages and relaunched coastalcountryjam.com, which currently includes a spot for fans to join the list to receive emails for presale access, the lineup and other show details. The first round of artist announcements is expected to drop on Thursday, March 2.
In the past, the event has featured performances by big-name artists like Tim McGraw, Chris Janson, Billy Currington, Chris Young, Jake Owen, Lady A, Brett Young, Old Dominion and more. The fest features multiple stages, on-the-sand activities, line dancing lessons, beer gardens, lots of barbeque booths and food trucks and numerous upgraded amenities for VIP guests.
This will mark the first time Coastal Country Jam has taken place since it’s last event in 2019 in Huntington Beach, which had fans taking to social media to complain about the overly packed venue, long lines for food and water, ATM malfunctions and other logistical issues.
