A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy was hospitalized on Friday after he was injured in an accidental shooting in Temple City.
The accident occurred at approximately 10 p.m. at the Temple City Sheriff’s Station, when the deputy was unholstering his firearm and mistakenly fired the weapon, injuring his lower torso, said Sgt. Mike Hernandez, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s department.
The deputy was taken to a hospital and was in “good condition” on Saturday, Hernandez said.
