Rollin Ransom has extensive experience prosecuting and defending lawsuits involving a wide variety of entertainment and intellectual property claims, including copyright and theft of idea, contract, trademark, false advertising, trade secret and unfair competition actions. He has recently secured numerous wins for media and entertainment companies, and he regularly counsels clients outside of litigation on a variety of intellectual property, advertising and internet-related matters.
Ransom is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and his leadership extends to Sidley’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, where he serves as one of Sidley’s four firmwide co-chairs, as well as his active mentorship of the lawyers with whom he works. Outside of his firm leadership roles, Ransom also serves as Chairman of the Board of spcaLA, the oldest humane organization in Southern California.
