White recently led a team of Gensler’s next-generation designers through its own “office of the future” transformation of its downtown Los Angeles office, meant in part to serve as a blueprint for how other companies can design their creative office space. White is also a Gensler board member and on the firm’s management committee.

Be Where You Are: The importance of being present, actively focused and engaged in everything I do.
What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category?
Studio Ghibli’s “”Ponyo”” was the movie I watched with my family when my children were growing up. I love the environmental message, the spiritual connection and a unique, creative animation technique.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
Fantasy bucket list? To tour with a live band.
What was your first car?
Matchbox Porsche 910 (a miniature collectible).
Would you like to have it back?
I still have it.
What’s the best thing about living in Los Angeles?
The weather and the ocean. I surf with my kids every week.
