Here’s which Monterey Park streets will be closed on Tuesday for President Biden’s visit

With Monterey Park anticipating the arrival of President Joe Biden on Tuesday, March 14, several streets surrounding the Barnes Park will be closed for his appearance for much the day.

Streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to a city press release.

Residents are advised to avoid the area around Newmark, Ramona, Harding and McPherrin Avenues. There will be a limited vehicle and pedestrian traffic allowed.

Road closures/no parking:

• Garfield Ave between Newmark Avenue and Grandridge Avenue/Graves Avenue;
• Newmark Ave between Garfield Avenue and McPherrin Avenue;
• Ramona Ave between Garvey Avenue ve and Garfield Avenue;
• Harding Ave between Ramona Avenue and McPherrin; and
• Mcpherrin Ave between Newmark Avenue and Graves Avenue

In addition to the closures around Barnes Park, Garfield Avenue will be closed for all traffic periodically throughout the day.
