Underwood Family Farms Fall Harvest Festival: Make a plan for the event that offers a multitude of activities, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. through Oct. 31. Check the website for what activities are available, Monday-Friday (admission for Monday-Friday is “at the gate only”). The special theme weekends: “Farm Country,” Oct. 5-6; “Antique Tractor,” Oct. 12-13; “Wild West,” Oct. 19-20; “All About Pumpkins,” Oct. 26-27. Admission: online tickets are required on weekends; tickets are sold by entry time and date; purchase online tickets in advance prior to arrival. Location, 3370 Sunset Valley Road, Moorpark. Nights of the Jack: Family-friendly Halloween event with illuminated jack-o-lanterns set in theme installations on a nearly one-mile walking trail, plus live pumpkin carving demonstrations, face painting, a psychic, a souvenir shop, food trucks and, for ages 21 and older, a “Spookeasy” bar, 6 p.m. Oct. 3 (purchase admission by time slots, 6:30-9 p.m.). Event hours: 6-10:30 p.m. on selected dates through Nov. 2. Admission, however, is by timed ticket only: time slots from 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. No tickets sold at the door. No refunds.
