The burned body of a man was found on the side of a road in Anaheim Hills early Tuesday morning, April 9, authorities said.
The Anaheim Police Department and Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to a small fire in the 8700 block of East Santa Ana Canyon Road around 4 a.m., according to Anaheim police Sgt. Jon McClintock.
They found a man’s burned body. The death is being investigated as a homicide.
The victim’s identity has not been released, and no one has been arrested, according to McClintock.
Detectives later found that someone called 911 to report the fire from a phone outside an Anaheim Hills fire station.
They are asking that person, or anyone else with information about the case, to call Anaheim police at 714-321-3669.
