A driver was arrested late Saturday after a two-vehicle crash in Pomona that killed three women.
Officers at about 11 p.m. responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision at White Avenue and Phillips Boulevard, according to a Pomona Police Department statement.
Two female passengers from one vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, police said, while the driver of that vehicle died at a hospital a short time later. Two other passengers from that same vehicle suffered unspecified injures.
Police identified Victor Siharath, a 36-year-old Pomona resident, as the sole occupant of the other vehicle, an SUV. He was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI, police said.
Further details of what led to the collision have not been released. Authorities are not releasing the names of the three women who died until their family is notified of their deaths.
